The growing local solar manufacturing industry has reduced equipment costs, and the mature installer network — concentrated in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, and Brasília — makes installations accessible. Battery storage insulates homeowners from both rate hikes and grid instability caused by hydro variability.
